speculative fiction
ENTER HERE –
into the scrapbook of my imaginings, largely derived from my magnum opus,
“Into the ‘What If?’”
Still a work in progress, a graphical/art book, speculative fiction, long alive in me. My long and colorful tale, so subject to the many deep eddies that have spun the potter’s wheel of my life.
The linked page is a picture index dedicated to resurrecting this project that still fills the dreams of my heart. To enjoy more about it, click the title link above.
Non-Fiction
Assertive on social issues affecting us all–
housing out-of-reach–caregiver safety net–functional healthcare–civic engagement–TimeShare and uncorruptable economies–media education for all
Along with my speculative fiction, I have so many other non-fiction writing projects, including one inspired by my recent years’ experiences with dementia, long-term care-giving,
and all the itinerant and unanticipated hazards, disasters, upheavals, and of course, love–in being there for my dad. That brought me to a newfound commitment to bring a social justice to light. A hard path that so few of us ever want to confront. It’s about aging. And the toll that the dementia epidemic of the industrialized world erodes from our wish to live out our lives free of suffering.
We must hold on to our wishes to be fully in reach of all that we ever strive to be.
A lot can be done to help the care-givers who sacrifice so much for their loved ones. Who, in their service, also benefit the State. That would otherwise foot the bill in staggering ways, due to this epidemic. And yet, the State, our Nation, has forgotten the care-givers who give so much of themselves. In compassion, and in battle against the memory eater that plagues our futures, I’m compelled to pursue this vital issue.
If you dare, peruse the images also included in a separate linked index, along with their stories. Click here–Beyond the Nomadland Border. And learn about how I aim to make important changes to how our society addresses some of the most heart-breaking of these issues. It’s time for a change. A change for the so much better.
